ParaTrack 2 Gyro Module
Prime Horizontal guidanceGyro steering for survey-grade accuracy where surface access is impossible.
CAPABILITY 06 / 06 · Locating & bore tracking
Mag 8 and Mag 9 walkover systems, TKQ locators and beacon transmitters confirm the drill head position, depth and pitch on every rod.
THE SCOPE
The difference between a crossing that exits on target and one that hits a utility is knowing where the head is before the next rod goes in. Crossroad tracks every bore with walkover locating systems reading a beacon transmitter in the drill head, and verifies line and grade independently with TKQ locators where the specification or the risk calls for it.
Tracking data is logged rod by rod and plotted against the design profile. On urban crossings, the walkover survey also confirms clearance from the existing utilities identified in the detection survey. The result at handover is an as-built profile the client can rely on when the next contractor digs nearby.
WHAT WE DELIVER
HOW IT RUNS
Existing services are located and marked before the rig arrives; the profile is checked against them.
A beacon in the drill head reports depth, pitch and roll to the walkover locator on the surface.
TKQ or gyro readings cross-check the walkover survey on critical sections.
The logged bore becomes the handover drawing and tracking log.
See the full four-stage bore animated on the home page, or size your own crossing with the HDD tools.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Engineers answer every enquiry. If your question is not here, send it over.
Within a few centimetres of depth and position in normal ground at typical road-crossing depths. Accuracy falls with depth and with magnetic interference, which is when we switch to gyro steering.
Chainage, depth below surface, lateral offset from the design line, pitch and roll at every rod, plus the clearance to each utility crossed. It is issued as a table and a profile drawing.
Yes. A detection survey and, where the authority requires, trial pits confirm the position of every service in the corridor before the bore profile is finalised.
